Boerne ISD is partnering with the San Antonio Food Bank to provide access to fresh and perishable foods to eligible Kendall County community families through the Nutrition on Wheels Mobile Pantry Program, funded by Methodist Healthcare Ministries.
The program will provide at least 50 pounds of fresh produce, dairy, protein and other perishables to eligible families on the specified distribution dates. The first distribution will take place Saturday, May 13, at 9:30 a.m. at Fabra Elementary School, 723 W. Johns Road.
Subsequent distributions are scheduled to take place on the following Saturdays: June 10, June 24, August 12, September 9, September 23, October 14, December 9.
To qualify for the distributions, families must meet one of the following categories to access the program:
- Child enrolled in Free or Reduced Lunch
- Enrollment in SNAP, TANF or MEDICAID
- Income at or below 185% FPL
- Emergency Need
